BIOGRAPHY
I was born on Ynys Môn in North Wales in 1996 and home-educated until enrolling on a BA Fine Art course in Aberystwyth University in 2017. From a young age I went with my family to an art group based on the island. It was in this group that I had the opportunity to learn from Keith Shone, Philip Snow, David Woodford, Kyffin Williams, and Jeremy Yates, as well as amateur artist Richard Watson who organised the group. My artistic interest was nurtured before I could hold a pencil, teaching me ways of seeing the world differently and how to find beauty in everything.
Much of my life has been spent exploring the rugged and sublime landscape of North Wales, finding those momentary breathless jewels. I work through a combination of intuition, subconscious automatic painting methods, and intense contemplation. In 2020 I graduated from Aberystwyth University with a First Class Honours in Fine Art. My portfolio referenced Abstraction with a Hyperrealist sensibility. Still based in Mid Wales I often travel between Ceredigion and my home county of Anglesey in order to feed my imagination.
