BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Aberystwyth and live in the nearby small hamlet of Cefnllwyd. I learned the fundamentals of my clay work in evening classes at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Then, I set about turning a hobby into a business. Essentially a self-taught sculptor, this has helped me learn about the processes and quality of my work in a very individual way.

My work is produced in a small garden studio at my home in Bontgoch in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains. I create unique sculptures and decorative pots. I’m inspired by nature, the rural area and poetry. I love studying the movement of living things as well as transforming the soft pliable clay into a solid static sculptures.
